This was discussed in the movie where the local employment office in Flint said there was around 50% unemployment which I think we all know is more accurate than the bogus UI claims figures this administration puts out

A key point that should be made here is that if in fact the Flint unemployment rate did reach 50% immediately following the GM plant closings (quite possible), you shouldn't expect that situation to last forever or even be maintained till 2004. People find new jobs, new businesses create new jobs, the economy is dynamic.

Roger Smith was just a clueless idiot who had no idea how to deal with the looming japanese threat.

Why doesn't Michael Moore know that?

And who is blaming the US workforce for management incompetence. I do know a fellow who says things like "Americans are the stupidest people on earth" while on European book tours.
