Oh, yes. I agree completely. Immigration is the only thing that will keep consumer spending growing and our economy affloat as retirees outnumber incoming workers over the next 20 years. If we get plenty, then our economy will keep humming along nicely. If we don't, the good news is that unemployment will go down, but so will consumer spending and it could cause a period of very low GDP and very little new jobs growth.
