were you living here when Clinton was booed at the Dukakis event... I don't think so right... there was something different about it

Clinton started off well, Clinton was well liked among democrats at that time, I remember they were talking about him as a dem candidate for pres even in the early 80s. What happened was he got the keynote speech and for SOME REASON that nobody ever got, he chose to speak for 3 hours or something... it went on and on and finally at the end clinton said something like "in closing blah blah blah" and there was a huge round of applause. It wasn't clinton they were booing, it was the LENGTH of his speech. Then he went on the tonight show and made a joke out of it and that was that. No big deal
