Tell that JLA. He'll be reassured. I'd like to be.
JLA is worried that we are going to lose the war against, er, ahem, Osama, in Iraq.
Saddam's "ambitions" is why this war is the best investment we could make in our longterm national security?
His ambitions.
Oh.
Ambitions.
Well, let's think of some other ways we could have expended the blood and gold we'll be expending in Iraq for a long time to the end of increasing our security and influence on the world stage.
Well, since no one else in the world has any WMD or "ambitions" to control oil *cough cough* I guess Iraq is as good a place as any!
In the last couple of years of his reign, the one of the main things Saddam Hussein was concerned with was writing novels and having the Koran copied in his own blood.
You didn't mention this in your list of reasons it's a good thing we're mired in, I mean providing security support in, Iraq, but we can legitimately rejoice that Saddam can't torture or rape or murder or behead any more, the way they do in the torture chamber-countries of Pakistan*, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Burma/Myanmar, North Korea*, Uzbekistan, Iran*, Jordan, and Egypt.
Countries with asterisks have or will soon have WMD. |
