measured US$ devaluation is very possible
but only in a steady move to crisis
which will produce a certain blowoff in the numbers

this makes absolutely no sense
As must (most) widgets are manufactured by machines and for example it takes about the same amount of time to assemble a big car as it takes a small car this will lower imports of various widgets and the trade deficit will move lower.

totally offbase comment
in the next 2-3 years, a dozen US carmaker plants will close
as agreed upon with United Auto Worker union
you continue to focus on the one car's production stats
AND MISS THAT THE ENTIRE PLANT WILL CLOSE SOON

I seriously wonder what planet you live on <G>
sorry, but you are studying the tone of the nice music
AND YOU MISS THE ENTIRE PARADE HEADING OUT OF TOWN

in the last six months, US auto makers have lost another 1-2% in market share to Japan
the numbskull US automakers chose to build SUV's for higher unit price and profit
and ignored all warnings of higher future energy costs
US appliance makers have announced migration to Mexico and China

do you even live inside the USA?
how do you miss such structural change evidence?
what on earth makes this fixable?
damn, Haim, I know you are bright
but you continue to make irrelevant comments
AND CONTINUE TO MISS THE PARADE HEADING OUT OF TOWN

WE HAVE A MASSIVE STAGGGGERING STRUCTURAL FUCHUP SHIFT AWAY FROM MFG AND TOWARD RETAIL CONSUMPTION, WHICH MAKES ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN CONTINUED LARGE TRADE GAPS
MASSIVE MASSIVE STRUCTURAL IMBALANCE !!!

why would needing calm produce calm?
we will continue to abuse the world reserve currency, aka the petrodollar, until a crisis forces us to become more responsible and return our mfg base to home base
if not, then the market will give us a "time out"
otherwise known as a depression

address structural change or stop replying
if you persist, I will only get more weird on you
it has been a tough couple months, and a foreign sounding name is always an easy target for a jingoist bastard like me <G>
