I am not in the least surprised that the Jihadist Moslems would want to attack the Europeans. Their mutual animus harken back to the Crusades and even to earlier times. The Moslem terrorists in Madrid did indeed say what they did was payback for the Christian Crusades. Why does the announcement of a threat by the "crazies" and the "deluded ones" sound so odd to you? A "funny" thing is that even though Arabs are well-known for their rhetoric (i.e. talk is cheap!) they are now being taken seriously these days and the A.G. Ashcroft is induced to periodically scare Americans with orange and red alerts!
