Hugh Hewitt - According to Gallup, President Bush's approval rating has rebounded to 53% --up there with Clinton's, Reagan's, and Nixon's in the years they went on to handy indeed landslide reelections.

And viewers of Hardball report that the discussion of Edwards' selection including the news that Edwards was choice number three --behind McCain and Florida Senator Bob Graham, who was said to have flunked the last part of the vetting process. Graham would have made huge sense for Kerry, and have put Florida into serious play. Did Kerry panic and go with Senator Lightweight out of fear of being seen as unable to make a decision after telegraphing the choice would be made this weekend?
