Tough to compete with Union labor in steel production. I expect us to be out of the automobile manufacturing business in 30 years. China will flood the market.

China has already taken the furniture business out of NC.
53 NC furniture companies have folded in the past three years.
Textile manufacturing preceded furniture. It moved to S America, Southeast Asia(Vietnam), and elsewhere.
Electronics production left before all of that.

Ross Perot had it right, 12 years ago, when he predicted that the sucking sound you are going to hear is jobs leaving America.
Looks like steel is next.

LB, I believe your prediction about auto production moving off shore. Much of it already has. Later, someone will realize and write it started with bicycles. Every American bicycle mfr has already left.
