I agree with everything you say. >>Sorry, kw, I despise trinitron monitors with their horizontal seam lines.<< I don't like them either, but most people don't even notice the lines unless they are pointed out. The lines only bother people like you and me . The Hitachi monitor is very good. Another very good one is the NEC XP21. It's one of the brightest and clearest monitors I've seen. My only other comment is that if you have to decide on a Jazz or a Zip, get the Jazz. If you can get both, get both. I thought it would be easiest for Lisa to get a 'packaged' deal on a Dell. One source, one payment, and all support from one location. Time to order, right? (and I'm a Mac fanatic!?) kw.
