Comparing the axis powers to Iraq is getting really old- since it is such a lame comparison.

We could have let Saddam invade tiny Kuwait and keep it. True. I don't think that would have been anything like WWII- do you? If you can cast your mind back to the long Iran-Iraq war, you will recall that Iraq was no Germany. It was even less of a Germany after we beat it up after it's attempt on Kuwait. It was EVEN less of a Germany after we bombed and inspected it for years. All in all, it was no Germany- and wasn't likely to become anything like Germany, and comparisons with Germany...well...lame, very lame- although no doubt they might be comforting if you can put out of your mind all the evidence that militates against the comparison...
