Well, then, lets look at the chess board.

How many dictators exist who are megalomaniacal, expansionist, and proven past users of WMD that possess enough will and resources to buy nukes on an open market and who are located within easy striking distance of Saudi Arabia, a country whose supply of oil is absolutely critical to the West's economies?

Qaddafi? Nope, too far away.

Syria? Nope, too far away. Not enough resources.

Iran? Maybe, but invading SA would be very difficult, though they may try it in the future.

Guess who that leaves?

You want to play nuclear dice with Saddam?

I'm glad Bush had the courage to do a very politically dicey thing by getting rid of Saddam. No calculating the political benefits of it--simply did what had to be done. That is the best example of statesmanship we've seen in a long time, though you and a lot of others may not appreciate it. It has absolutely, positively made the world a safer place, and not just for us.
