things like that story calm me".

then he posted a picture of a tarpon that
he had caught on a fly in florida (i can't
post it so i'll e-mail it to you) along with
this description of his catch:

Hi Harold,

It is a "tarpon"...Americans call it the "Silver King" ...and, it is. Toughest challenge and best fishing experience there is...in my opinion.

Caught it on a fly about 1" or 1 1/2" long.

The first one that I caught in that 125 lb. range took 1 1/2 hours. Have caught several since but this one took less than 25 minutes because I pounded it. It is best for them to get them in fast and then release them.

It jumped 7 or 8 times...like 6 feet out of the water. It also burned off 1,000 feet of line in less than a minute before the guide picked up and chased it. (I have 400 yards of backing on the reel and I could see the spool.)

Also, caught a "laid up" tarpon in the backwaters that was 85 pounds. Had it in in 30 minutes...and then a hammerhead shark about 6 feet long came right up on top of it as we were trying to get it into the boat...released the drag, it took off and it took another 15 minutes to get it back in to release it.

What a rush.
