People finally figured out that wealth is mostly nominal: most wealth is actually invested, whether in bank deposits, stocks, or bonds, and helps the economy go. Otherwise, it is being consumed, and providing wages for the yacht builders, high-end auto makers, and caterers the rich employ. Meanwhile, many of them are involved in philanthropy, and help to keep open the museums, symphonies, civic organizations, and charities that improve community life. It is not that a rich person cannot be wicked, it is that being rich does not make him so.........
