It is distressing to see that the most diehard of the liberals seem to be throwbacks to a sloganeering past, rather than caring much about getting their stories straight. Some liberals are better than that, but then, if so, we usually think of them as moderates. As for the hypocrisy, anyone who thinks that Ted Kennedy is a role model in anyway demonstrates the triumph of ideology over common sense.
