ATA - some of this stuff is beyond silly.
If our intelligence was good enough to label it a "safe house" how come it was not good enough to know 12 kids or whatever it was, were in there.

Somehow this was kept out of main USA press.
BTW we are sort of in agreement on how it has to be done. The problem is we did not commit enough soldiers to the task. We disagree that it needed to be done, and the public is getting fed up with the results, just like in Vietnam.

IMO this was all too easy to predict and it is playing out pretty much as I envisioned. There is absolutely no denying that Rumsfeld underestimated, the cost, troops required, and did not care to properly plan for the aftermath. It was a rush to war right from the beginning and the troop estimate of Rumsfeld of 30K during the aftermath just might be off by a factor of 10 or more (to do it right).
