I got the impression from your comments about condoning genocide. "But the point is, today Christians will condone those acts (genocide, per your description) as the righteous will of God, God who is himself love, truth, and goodness" You put it in a way that makes it seem like today's Christians think genocide is ok, because the Bible sights examples from a few thousand years ago. I think they believe that if it is God's will, then who are they to question. But I can't speak for others. I also think Jesus taught to love your neighbor and not to judge people. Like I said, I personally have trouble with a lot of stuff the old testament has in it. "I might as well accuse you of vilifying and belittling Jews (because I have trouble with the old testament). But that would be a cheap shot" I think it would be a cheap shot. Because I don't belittle them for believing it. Maybe you did not mean to belittle Christians with your comments on genocide, but you should be able to see how I interpreted it that way. Are their beliefs wrong?
