And read my lips carefully........its the GOP that set this tone.....back in 2000. They wanted the presidency so badly that they made it clear they would step over anyone to get it. I don't know what was the cause for their vehemence.........perhaps Clinton's successes had infuriated them or maybe a critical mass had been reached. But they were prepared to take people out to get the prize which was the presidency.

In any case, they set the tone and with the help of Bush, have polarized this nation like its never been polarized before.

Can you give some examples supporting this argument?
