In attempting to be PC he argues that all religions are evil when in fact he should be stating that imposing ones beliefs on others is the actual issue. Along with militant Islam, the other religions that have done that recently are Communism and Fascism.

Do not equate evangelical Christianity with militant Islam - they are not even close.


I only read the first two paragraphs of the article. To read more apparently requires that I subscribe to the magazine. I'll take a pass on that one.

So I assume we are talking about those first two paragraphs. If you have more text from the full article, please share it.

As for those paragraphs, he says nothing about "all religions are evil". Nor, best I can tell, does he "equate evangelical Christianity with militant Islam". Again, if you see something I've missed, drop it in.

His point is that tax exempt status for religious bodies is a subsidy from the government. The costs of lining up congregations for political purposes is subsidized by the taxpayer.

Raises a lot of questions.
