JF, The judicial... checks and balances. Remember?

The judicial is one third of government, is it not? On a tangent, it seems the checks-n-balances system is getting a little too tilted toward the judicial branch these days, but that's just me.

Ane Joe want's to eliminate jury trials, to take the public out of the equation.

I've heard this argued before, that we should change to paid professional jurors. Talk about a can of worms.
