Bush told the federal 9/11 Commission, which released its report last week, that he remained in the classroom because he felt it was "important to project strength and calm until he could better understand what was happening "
So he was "projecting strength and calm" to a handful of 6 year olds while the rest of the nation was watching NYC burn?

NOBODY ELSE IN THE COUNTRY WAS WATCHING BUSH IN THAT CLASSROOM - WE WERE ALL WATCHING THE WTC BURN. Sitting there listening to 6 year olds was helping him "better understand what was happening"?

How could anyone vote for a person who says something as STUPID as "I felt it was important to project strength and calm until I could better understand what was happening" when he could not gain any understanding of what was happening doing what he was doing?

Bush made the decision to "project strength to 20 6 year olds" while the rest of the world watched our country being attacked - He "projected strength" by reading a children's book.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT A GUY WHO WOULD SAY:
Quote:
"I felt it was important to project strength and calm until I could better understand what was happening"
while he was doing nothing to find out or "better understand" what was happening.

Remember this quote is YEARS after the event not in the heat of the moment that day. How can you support anyone who would say that about the most horrific minutes in US HISTORY?

"If you think Dick Cheney is cursing today, wait until you hear what he says on Nov. 2." - John Kerry.
