Why in 4 years have they not had a ceremony for the day that...WE...AMERICANS...declared our Independence Ask the Republicans. They never thought of it until this election year when they could get a guy to come on and call Kerry a traitor and talk about Christianity. If they'd wanted to honor July 4, they would have gotten together with the Dems and created a moving and dignified ceremony about our nation, the values of our founding fathers, and our war heroes. That's obviously not what they wanted to do. Is your position that it wasn't a political ploy? If so, grow up.
