I have never seen you explain the distinction between the goats and the sheep with anything other than ignoring that fact.

Christ in Matthew 25 is explaining the judgment of the nations in their treatment of "Christ's brethren". It is however definitely based on works and not based on faith. Those who have not treated Christ's brethren well (the goats) will be "coming into chastening eonian" (greek kolasis aionian) Or in Young's Literal it's "punishment age-during). Again, the punishment is limited to the ages. And the ages will end.

Individuals are saved by faith in Christ. Not by works. Believers are saved.

Interestingly enough Brian, this particular passage starts with the phrase "Now whenever the Son of Mankind may be coming in His glory, and all the holy messengers with Him, then shall He be seated on the throne of His glory, and in front of Him shall be gathered all the nations...etc...

Isn't this all past history in your belief system? If all prophecy has been fulfilled, this particular judgement is history.

Anyway, this is a judgement of nations, not individuals. And the punishment will be during the ages, not for eternity.

Have a good weekend.

Hang in there Brian.
