Good. I'm glad you've come around. We're in agreement then about the desirability of "comments" "for the occasion" being "appropriate." Including any film content or clips the speaker chose to include as part of his presentation.

And that's what the Democrats said: That the Republicans, in trying to put on a speaker who calls the Democratic candidate a traitor and reveals disrespect for Americans of non-Christian faith, had not chosen "appropriately."

Isn't "appropriate" a clever word for you to choose? And so fungible.

I thought it was funny when you wrote "I do question, however, what relevance...." Made me laugh out loud. You question indeed. Like "relevance" was the issue.
