<we'd have already invaded 20 countries by now for that kind of crap>

..... No shit! Cuba for one. You're estimate of 20 countries is a lowball figure.

It's interesting watching the reaction today to the Senate report on faulty "intelligence." It's now becoming a bipartisan opinion that going to war was a mistake. If this perspective gets grounded in cement, Dubya is out of here.

Dubya was on the campaign trail today telling everyone how we're better off without Saddam. That's questionable too? Are we better off with that terrorist hornets nest he created in Iraq? Are we better off with over $100 billion added to the national debt? Are the families of the dead and maimed American soldiers better off? Who exactly is better off?

If the politicians keep debating the reasons for going to war, then the reason was vague. This is all striking me like the Twilight Zone. The focus of the debate is slowly going to become whether the stupid Republicans whipped up such an irrational patriotic frenzy back in 2002 so as to make it impossible for a Democratic Senator to vote against giving Dubya carte blance regarding Iraq just prior to the 2002 elections. I remember those days. If a Democratic Senator questioned Bush, he was branded a "traitor."
