Zogby: Edwards Fails to Lift Kerry
All hair, no cattle?

Despite the tidal wave of media gushing over pretty one-term Sen. John Edwards, he has so far failed to boost the Democrat ticket, according to the latest poll by Zogby International.

Of 1,008 likely voters questioned by Zogby on Tuesday and Wednesday, 48 percent supported Sen. John Kerry and Edwards, and 46 percent supported President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. The difference falls within the poll's 3.1-percentage-point margin of error and duplicates the 2-point spread in Zogby's poll taken June 2-5.

"This is not a big-bounce electorate," pollster John Zogby stated. "We are a nation that is split down the middle, polarized and hardened."

The survey showed approval of Bush's performance rising 2 points this month, to 49 percent
