NYBB and everyone else --

I"m here at the San Francisco Hilton at the ISP show and let me assure you I feel like Alice in Wonderland. It's an amazing meeting of minds, dreams, technical know-how, and personalities. My head is spinning.

Speed is big. ADSL is everywhere. Ameritech, USWest, Bell South and Bell Atlantic all talked about launching their highspeed solutions. USWest said, "We're 90 days from launch!" Ameritech said their trials are so successful they can't get the equipment qway from the participants. The same as GTE. Bell Atlantic will bring up the rear --- and their representative admitted it. In his words, "It's not a sprint but a marathon." They'll offer quality service when it's ready. Well, winged chariots are whispering close by and maybe they should pay attention.

As for Amati, I'm still waiting for some explanation for the huge volume earlier this week. I know there's a reason. I just haven't put all the pieces together. But, hey, I'm getting close. <G>

More when I get back.

Cheers!

Pat
