Strong's concordance is, for the most part, an excellent reference. I would agree, however, that Strong sometimes lets his dispensationalist bias influence his entries. We all have biases that influence our thinking and beliefs and need the Holy Spirit and the guidance of Christ's Body to determine our doctrines. It is never the dead letter that brings salvation but rather the live testimony of a member of the living Church. This is why Christ established his Church with clear leadership and teaching authority and gave the Church the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth. Even Paul, with his many profound revelations, defered to the teaching authority of the Church in the 15th chapter of Acts. The reliance on word studies and concordant comparisons alone to establish doctrines is a modern innovation of self-willed and rebellious men and often leads to fruitless cults who end up inventing novel doctrines that separates them from the Body of Christ. We need to maintain a certain humility that recognizes our reliance on God's mercy and grace in being giving the Church and the scriptures and the faith to believe in them.

When Christ built his Church and choose the first leaders, he declared that the 'gates of helle would not prevail against it'.
