AFFX at 38 3/8, + 5 3/8. Volume is heavy at 709,000.

Stock may be rallying in anticipation of contracts. I can't think of much else that would push the stock higher. AFFX recently signed an agreement with Pfizer on August 14th; maybe other pharmaceutical giants want to be in the action, too.
