Interesting. My wife had some money in mutual funds at RBC a few years back. When she tried to switch her money into Embry's precious metals fund, she was strongly advised not to and was told that it was extremely risky. She also had to fill out various forms because she was planning to enter into a volatile fund. A little after Embry left RBC I took her money out, bought EPM.U, made her a 60% profit, sold then sank it into CKG. Also, my sister in law had the same type of problems switching into resource/precious metals funds at BMO.
