Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker on a car .....

..... makes that car a target. You couldn't pay me to put one on my car.

I remember in 1973 I had an "IMPEACH NIXON" bumper sticker on my car. It was sitting on a main street in Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) one evening. Someone peeled the bumper sticker off the car. Fortunately, the car was not damaged. At that point, I decided not to have my personal belongings become political targets.

Joe Paterno is for Bush? You would have thought that when Nixon proclaimed Texas national champ back in 1970 or so (when both Penn State and Texas were undefeated) that he would have become a Democrat. He's proving he knows even less about politics than about coaching--which is pretty difficult considering that his teams are worsening annually.

There's simply no explaining political opinions. It's very difficult for me to get particularly friendly with Republicans. Two of my nicests clients--incredibly generous contributors to my cancer fund last summer--are absolutely wonderful people. We talk about getting together socially. But it just doesn't happen. They know I'm a rabid Bush admirer. Especially regarding his reading ability. Was he reading "My Pet Goat" in that movie he recently headlined? Or was he just faking it?
