We got our DVD's back today- the ones that were made out of my father's 8mm home movies of me- from 1964 to 1969. I can't tell you how fun it was to see those movies again, and how nice it was to see my mom and dad and grandparents again- as if they were still alive (and much younger). I only wish I had known these films were in the house- I would have had this done and shared it with my mom. I think she would have loved seeing my father again. I haven't seen these movies since I was 9 (if I remember right)- I don't think my father ever got out the projector after 1970 :-)

The VHS copies to DVD of my kids videos were wonderful also! You've got to do this. I hope you can find a company near you. As I told you, this wonderful company picks up the film at your house, and then delivers it back to you- provided your order was big enough- and with approx 24 8mm reels and 11 VHS tapes (I decided not to do them ALL) we more than qualified. We had two sets of DVDs made (since that didn't run the price up much) so we can put one complete set in the safe deposit box.

I will ONLY take video on DVD from now on.
