Wow. History's quickest industrialization/deindustrialization cycle. Wasn't that article an eye-opener? When you tie it in with the article on agricultural trade it really gives you a sense of what is happening in China. The biggest move was the privatization of agriculture in the 80s. They went from importing to exporting overnight.
