Bill,
Now everyone seems to be talking about the replacement of cheney although most think it very unlikely. The democrat operatives i have listened to seem very concerned. Can you imagine no baggage McCain against Edwards? The gravitas of the three folks mentioned dwarf Edwards inexperience. All three have strengths and weaknesses.
But i agree with you and think cheney will be on the ticket. So what would be wrong with bush announcing a cabinet reshuffle that makes use of some or all of these three guys. It's clear to me that Ashcroft and Rumsfeld will be retired post election in any case. What's wrong with Rudy at Justice and either Powell or McCain at Defense with the other at CIA or State(mccain). Armitage could be at State or CIA also. We need these bush guys to read our thread and stop inbreeding which has been the main danger for all admins. Drop 'em a line Bill. Mike
