Thomas Paine <There is no balance to US power now> The US economy is being "held up" internationally by having its current account and trade deficits funded by the rest of the world. The US Treasury is likewise being "held up", in regard to its own very large budget deficits, in large part by all the international buying of its never ending issuance of more new debt paper. Over this past year, the US Dollar has been "held up" by the Asian Central Banks. Time is running out - both for the US and its lenders.
