But there lies the difference between British politics and US politics. Blair understands that his decision has cost British lives and hence he takes full responsibility and offers to resign. He has also declared publicly that WMDs will never be found.

Put that in contrast with what Bush is doing. He is blaming everybody else; the CIA, the international inspectors, he is saying it is OK to use the F word on the floor of the Senate etc. So that is where Bush politics has come to.
