Ann, methinks you are overly pessimistic to the point of being guilty of fear-mongering. I suppose you would suspect any stranger skulking in your neighborhood to be a potential terrorist ready to do harm.

Methinks the A.G. Ashcroft will be happy to have you as a member of his staff to dole out yellow to orange to red alerts and vice-versa.

To be sure, the innocent Muslims in N. America are between the devil and the deep blue sea or, if you like, between a rock and a hard place: they are damned (twice over) if they come out to condemn the Jihadists and volunteer to fight agaisnt them and they are also damned if they don't.

Even if some of them come forward to offer their services, they might not be accepted with complete trust. I recall that during WWII, a good number of young Japanese in Hawaii enlisted themselves in the US Army to fight against the enemy tin Europe. So did a good number of blacks in mainland USA. I heard that both the Japanese and the blacks were not trusted completely until they proved themselves heroically on the frontlines.
