Hey, you see the john-john team on 60 Minutes tonight? Edwards grabbed Kerry's arm to stop him from talking and said something like "I'm gonna finish this". Then when Leslie Stahl (sp?) interrupted Kerry, he vocalized some meek stuttered protest and then let her go on. This is the "macho-man" AS is drooling over?

Both were also rather evasive as well, including Edwards responding to a question I can't recall, except that it had nothing to do with military records, foreign policy, or anything remotely close to that, with a defensive tangent about Kerry's Vietnam record. Man, Cheney's gonna rip Edwards apart in the debates.

But the best part? Ha! It was the interview with the wives. To start, 60 Minutes (did Rupert Murdoch buy CBS?) showed an awkward moment where Kerry was trying to grab Theresa Heinz Kerry's - you have to say the whole thing, and it's pronounced ter•A•zah, by the way - hand. She looked very uncomfortable and they struggled for a moment, trying to figure out how to hold hands and have it look natural and affectionate.

But wait, there's more.

When asked about "two mega-millionaires campaigning on populist economics", Theresa jumped in with "it's just un-American to suggest that someone who is very rich - or very poor - doesn't deserve it."

Umm . . . ?

LOL

Bob

PS: It also struck me as odd that both Edwards and his wife seemed to feel driven to praise Theresa, like she was doing something brave and noble by bringing us John F. Kerry to rule us.

PPS: I hope she's on TV a LOT more between now and November. ;-)
