Very interesting. I do not think that our aims are so unclear, though perhaps they could be better formulated. Although having intellectual contacts in the Arab world is important, operational intelligence will only come from those involved in the various terrorist organizations and/or intelligence services, so it is not so easy as Spengler suggests to infiltrate the right areas. But the idea that assumptions need to be examined, and the questions asked need to be refined, is true enough.
