Well, let me try this as a hypothetical -- suppose that, God forbid, a nuclear explosion destroys one or both of the convention halls, Republican and/or Democrat, makes no difference to the hypo, while both the Presidential and Vice Presidental Candidates are inside, killing both, or all four?

What then?

And don't tell me Nader wins, I don't think that's how it goes.

The Constitution clearly provides when the election is held, and sets forth a timetable from that date to the Inauguration, but doesn't contemplate what happens if there is no candidate. US Code and state laws may kick in.
