Email to the President after his latest campaign swing:
Sir:
I was privileged to be in the audience at your campaign stop in Kutztown Pennsylvania.
I listened carefully to your speech, thoughtfully analysed the points you attempted to make,
and came to this conclusion: I have a degree in English literature, with a Master's in the
Classics. I have been an educator for thirty years, have attended numerous seminars on
communication, with emphasis on the spoken word. I have been involved with linguistics
all my adult life, and besides my qualifications noted above, have been around the world,
attended several state fairs, at least one hundred PTA meetings, and several goat-ropings.
With all the above experience, Sir, I must admit, after listening to you speak, I have no
fucking idea what you were talking about. The one question I have, Sir, is .....do you?
