Not sure yet. I need to see the proposals. It's pretty obvious that we can do a better job protecting the health of our citizens, and we can do it more efficiently as a nation, rather than split up into various healthcare delivery systems. The majority of Americans have no health care. Can you imagine our Freeway system, if each county was responsible for transportation and the construction of the freeways? We do it more efficiently when we pool resources. Same for national defense.

In the case of roads, military and even healthcare, the old saying of united we stand, divided we fall applies.

Where we can benefit from mutual activity as a nation, the government serves it's people when it provides such a united forum.

A proper health care system that encourages preventative medicine, will also save money in the long run. Currently many people fall ill with little or no funds, and ultimately we pay a high price to operate health care in that end of the road stop gap way.

When we can do something together more efficiently, then that is in effect a government that governs least. Who ends up paying for catastrophic illnesses now when the patient is uninsured? Well that would be you and me...and that is a government that spends more for less.
