It is my contention that if Iraq is relatively stable and the economy remains strong, Bush is fine. People were reacting to the assumption that all hell was breaking loose, with the modest uprisings, and therefore are impressed that the other shoe didn't drop. Additionally, they have not quite gotten it that the recovery is sustained. As attention turns more to the election, they will wake up and smell the coffee, I think........
