Aug 22 1997 4:36PM EST Reply #4099 of 4100 Alex, I've been reading this dogfight between you and BW and David and I was getting concerned with MPEG, and I'm not technically inclined in this technology, but I just got off the phone with Innovacom's Ben Gibson, and was totally impressed!! The Cube chip is Risc based which with its surrounding software is Big as a screen door, has a rougher picture and is less efficient and will be obsolete (my opinion) within 5 years. The MPEG chip is fully silicon w/250 parallel processors (patented) and is more efficient energy wise, time wise and has a superior quality picture! And to top it off Ralph Vaerst is a friend of management. That's enough for now, talk to Ben and get the "rest of the story", then put in your MPEG stock orders!!!
