this part is very true:

America is not used to such a decidedly subpar employment experience. And with good reason — it’s never before persisted for 31 months into an economic recovery.

I talk to people I know all over the US, in jobs that require a college degree, and generally pay over 50K, some more.

I don't hear anyone saying that the job market is good for them, and don't hear anyone saying they are better off today than they were 3-4 years ago. Sad, but true, IM experience anyway.
