I do know, however, that socialized medicine is a proven failure, as is socialism in general, and I have much more faith in the invisible hand of competition than the heavy hand of government mandate and control to find workable solutions. Socialized medicine seems to work well for the Congress. And it works well in many countries. Are there problems with some of the systems? Yes. Is the free market insurance system we have without faults? Heck no. It's left half of the country with no health care. We have a socialized military. Socialized highway system. I prefer a public controlled utility to a private one that looks for ways to profit shareholders rather then make electricity reliable and cheap. Gathering together for the common good in not bad. That's what the states do...United we stand, divided we fall. Orca
