Neo, today doesn't get made by knowing how LBJ lifted his dogs or how long after the rest of the allies declared war on Germany the USA finally declared war on Germany.

Today gets made by the ideas people have now and how they imagine tomorrow being made, which they then set out to make and in due course, today arrives.

Driving by looking in the rear view mirror is not a good idea.

The 'shocking' list of ignorance in young people about those ancient details of history is a good thing. Knowing a bunch of irrelevant facts isn't going to help people in their lives.

The average intelligence of young people now is more than that of the Greatest Generation. Since there are also a lot more of these bright young things, the details of history are not of much importance compared with what those alive now choose to do.

History is bunk.
