Speaking of costly misadventures, I read somewhere that the cost of war is going to be over $500B. To put that in perspective, Iraq's total revenue before the war was around $6B (between 4 and 10 depending on estimates and including the smugling operations) and the combined military budget of UK, France, and Germany is about $50B (or so I have heard).

In other words with this amount of money you could have Iraqis working for 100 years or have the entire combined British, French, and German military (that is navy, army, air force, special forces, and military intelligence) in Iraq for 10 years.

So how many people think we are getting our money's worth? And I am not even including the human cost here.
