So along with $1000 toilet seats, we can have $1000 syringes?

One would hope not. But under the private system I have been billed $50 for a bandaid too.

We need to get smart and do something good for the country. Why is it only good when we deficit spend to bomb people? How about a program that pays for itself and really helps people?

The trouble here is that you want me to stick with the same failed healthcare system, and you cannot think out of the box about a new way of doing things. I have no doubt that we can do better than we have now. We do not need to make the same mistakes as the Canadians. There's much to learn from their system and those around the world.

But we need to keep moving towards a system that actually works. What we have now is not working according to most Americans.
