I saw a 50,000 block go into Bema yesterday. I saw some nice blocks
into PDG and then saw ambivalence...Are you reading the posts in
kitco.com ? McMannis has been a great timer..I wish he
would post here sometimes..
Please excuse my throwing in kitchen sinks...the following are what
are cooking in one of my minds (Gemini)
The utilities really did recover yesterday...All the advisors seem to
predicting a bond market rally.(Don Hayes has been calling for what
has been happening-no mention of gold thought and predicts the small
caps should explode after the blue chips to the upside)
If Templeton says that there will be no deflation because it wont be allowed...I think you are so right on gold.
I wonder how far out Barrick etc have sold forward gold..
I think these majors have helped keep the price down so they don't
get caught in a squeeze...On Kitco I read that the reserves are at
their lowest or something like that.
I read in the beginning stages of a bull market in gold gold should
run with the rest of the market.
In my city things do not look good except for the very upscale..
Brownstones are being gutted and refurbished...expensive stuff..
rentals are out of sight...I have read 2000 for a one bedroom
3500 for a two bedroom -as I said rentals-
The streets look dirty...more small stores are going out of business..
chain stores with deep pockets are taking over..more and more homeless
and this is even before the new "WELFARE"-OXYMORON IF i EVER HEARD
one..unless I ask the question whose-(I think a fortune will be made in prison related stocks and we will probably be spending more
money in that than in the former welfare program..)
food prices continue to go up..
If there is no inflation and social unrest down the road,I will
be floored....

I don't see how the blue chips can squeeze out more growth..
I think most of their profits were from downsizing and technological
and nothing creative or innovative..what can they do next..If they
hired smart machines to take over CEO's..that could save a fortune..
As technology goes,who knows..(triple :)'s).
so hopefully money will keep on pouring into the "safe" blue chips
to form the final top..
I don't know who is running the bond market...I wish I could hear
what Rodriquez says (runs Pacific bond funds..not B. Gross who
was rumored to be a big bond seller yesterday but denied the rumors..
he runs huge bond funs)
I am wondering if the stock market can control the economy and be
a self fulfilling prophecy.
Times are really interesting and boy have I really RAMBLED....
off to play squash...
