Don't you realize that Bush is raising this gay marriage thing just to get you social conservatives in a lather... But of course. I know Bush is not exactly a supporter of what is good for America in this instance. But when nudged, he is infinitely more willing than Kerry to stand for the truth. So I support him. That is how it works. If he stands where I'd like (or thereabouts), he gets my support. otherwise, he doesn't. If he becomes my champion, then I begin writing checks and vigorously promoting him. So far, his support for my issues have been lukewarm. And my support for him has been correspondingly lukewarm. But Kerry is actually hostile to me and to all things that are good and true. The guy is a clear liar. His "family" has an SUV. The Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage NEVER had a chance of passing, and Bush knows it. Well I knew it also. I have said here that I didn't expect it to pass. But we still needed to push for it because it was the right thing to do. You are going to try to force Sodomite marriage on us. We are going to fight you until you are successful. For my part, when this happens, on that very day I will cease to be an American. It's just a puppet-string to jerk you guys around. It's meaningless, other than as a distraction. Well it is not a meaningless distraction to me. Someone needed to make an effort here. You are actually trying to force my support of what is patently inhuman. Even though you will get your filth approved by law, pleasure is found in fighting you to the very end simply because it is right to fight you.
